Nickel Alloy 201
Common Trade Names: Nickel 201, LC Nickel 99.2; Alloy 201
Nickel 201 is designated as UNS N02201 and Werkstoff Numbers 2.4061 and 2.4068 is commercially pure (99.6%) wrought nickel essentially the same as Nickel 200 but with a lower carbon content to prevent embrittlement by inter-granular carbon at temperatures over 315°C.
Properties:
- Excellent corrosion resistance in many alkaline media and at elevated temperatures
- Good mechanical properties within a wide range of temperatures
- Suitable for cold forming

- Food production
- Storing and transportation of phenol
- Manufacture and handling of sodium hydroxide
- Vessels in which fluorine is generated and reacted with hydrocarbons
- Production of synthetic fibre, viscose rayon and manufacture of soap, vinyl chloride monomer
