INCOLOY alloy 800

Common Trade Names: Incoloy 800, Alloy 800, Ferrochronin 800, Nickelvac 800, Nicrofer 3220

INCOLOY alloy 800 designated as UNS N08800, Werkstoff No. 1.4876 is a widely used material for construction of equipment requiring corrosion resistance, heat resistance, strength, and stability for service up to 1500°F (816°C).

Properties:
  • general corrosion resistance to many aqueous media
  • its nickel content resists stress corrosion cracking
  • At elevated temperatures it offers resistance to oxidation, carburization, and sulfidation along with rupture and creep strength especially at temperatures above 1500°F (816°C)
Typical Applications:
  • is used for heat exchangers and other piping systems in nitric acid media especially where resistance to chloride stress-corrosion cracking is required
  • nuclear power plants, it is used for steam-generator tubing
  • production of paper pulp
  • heat exchangers that air cool the process stream
  • domestic appliances for sheathing of electric heating elements
  • petroleum processing
Product Forms:
  • Sheets, Strips, Plates
  • Round Bars, Flat Bars, Hexagon
  • Pipes, tubes, fittings and flanges
  • Wires
