Inconel Alloy HX
Common Trade Names: Hastelloy X, Nickel X, Alloy X, Nickelvac HX, Altemp HX, Inconel HX
INCONEL alloy HX is designated as UNS N06002/ W.Nr 2.4665 is a high-temperature, matrix-stiffened, nickel-chromium- iron-molybdenum alloy with outstanding oxidation resistance, and exceptional strength at up to 2200°F (1200°C)
Properties:
- This nickel steel alloy has also been found to be exceptionally resistant to stress-corrosion cracking in petrochemical applications
- Matrix stiffening provided by the molybdenum content results in high strength in a solid-solution alloy having good fabrication characteristics
- Although this nickel alloy is primarily noted for heat and oxidation resistance it also has good resistance to chloride stress-corrosion cracking, carburization, and excellent resistance to reducing or carburizing atmospheres
Typical Applications:
- It is used for components such as combustion chambers
- afterburners and tail pipes in aircraft
- land-based gas turbine engines
- for fans, roller hearths and support members in industrial furnaces
- nuclear engineering
Product Forms:
- Sheets, strips and Plate
- Rods, bar, extruded sections
- Pipes and Tubes
- Wire
Inconel alloy HX is a Registered Trademarks of Special Metals Corporation and its subsidiaries
