Monel Alloy 400

Common Trade Names: Monel 400, Alloy 400; Nickel 400; Nickelvac 400; Nicorros 400.

Monel Alloy nickel-copper alloy 400 designated as UNS N04400 Werkstoff numbers 2.4360 and 2.4361 is a solid-solution alloy that can be hardened only by cold working. It has high strength and toughness over a wide temperature range and excellent resistance to many corrosive environments.

  • excellent resistance to stress-corrosion cracking in most freshwaters
  • resistant to hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acids when they are de-aerated
